July 31, 2006       Updated revisions of two frame grabber interfaces
New revision 2.1 of the 1394IIDC (FireWire) interface released which supports the RAW8 and RAW16 formats and includes several bugfixes. This interface is based on the new FirePackage driver 2v14; new revision 2.1 of the mEnable3 interface released which is based on the SDK version 3.1 and supports several new parameters for adjusting image trigger and shaft encoder in case of line scan cameras (Registered customers can download both the updated interfaces as well as the new FirePackage driver here).

May 5, 2006       ActivVisionTools interfaces all IIDC 1394 cameras for free
First official release of the universal ActivVisionTools 1394IIDC interface which supports all IIDC 1394 (FireWire) compliant cameras. This new interface comes with a specific high-performance driver which can be used free of charge. The driver supports the full set of features covered by the IIDC 1394 standard. The interface and driver can also be used with the free tools of ActivVisionTools. Registered customers can download the interface and driver here.

May 2, 2006       ActivVisionTools supports DALSA Coreco and Matrox frame grabber boards
ActivVisionTools 3.1 now includes interfaces to frame grabber boards of DALSA Coreco and Matrox: The SaperaLT interface supports the Bandit-II, PC2-CamLink, PC2-Vision, Viper, X64-CL, and X64-AN frame grabber boards from DALSA Coreco via the Sapera LT library. The MilLite interface supports the Meteor-II, Helios, Solios, and Odyssey frame grabber boards from Matrox based on MIL-Lite 8.0. May 1, 2003       Release of ActivVisionTools Version 2.2
The new version 2.2 can now be downloaded. Outstanding new features are the support of further programming environments, such as Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, and Microsoft C# .NET. Moreover, measurements are processed significantly faster. The bar code reader now uses a more robust decoding algorithm and can decode two further types, namely PharmaCode and Code 93. November 1, 2002       Release of ActivVisionTools Version 2.1
The new version 2.1 can now be downloaded. Outstanding new features are the possibility to integrate ActivVisionTools via digital boards into the automation process, the generation of customized GUIs, and the implementation of new, user-defined ActivVisionTools. Beside this, version 2.1 comes with further improvements, such as a feature histogram, an intuitive result data visualization, additional GUI languages, and an extended documentation. October 1, 2001       Release of ActivVisionTools Version 2.0
The new version 2.0 is now available. Outstanding features of version 2.0 are the new ActivVisionTool ActivHistogram, the improved functionality of ActivDecision, 18 new gray value features supported by ActivFeatureCalc, and the possibility to access specific frame grabber parameters via ActivView. Of course, all the manuals have been updated, too. Amongst others, they have been extended by new manuals for ActivFeatureCalc and ActivDecision.
 
April 27, 2001       Release of ActivVisionTools Version 1.3
Outstanding features of version 1.3 are the new ActivVisionTool ActivAlignment, and the programming interface which can be used to directly access the results of the tools (more details about the programming interface can be found in the manuals of the single tools).

With the release of ActivVisionTools 1.2 now the following manuals have been updated: Getting Started, ActivBlobFinder, and ActivView. Moreover, ActivGeoCalib now has also got its own manual. All manuals can be downloaded for free from the documentation page.
