Installation Hints
Installing ActivVisionTools on Cameras,
such as Sony XCI-SX1/XCI-V3 or Leutron LVmPC

- To install ActivVisionTools on a camera insert the ActivVisionTools
product DVD in a PC which is connected via ethernet to the
camera.
- After booting the camera, log in as administrator on the camera and
select the DVD drive of the PC as a network drive.
If the DVD drive is not visible you must enable the sharing of
the drive.
- Execute the program Setup.exe located in
the directory nt-x86 of the DVD.
- From that point on, follow the instructions in the chapter
"Installation " of the ActivVisionTools

- You can also download the ActivVisionTools release
from the ActivVisionTools
download area.
- Execute the self extracting archive file from the
ActivVisionTools download as administrator on the camera.
- From that point on, follow the instructions in the chapter
"Installation " of the ActivVisionTools

- You need a license to run ActivVisionTools on the camera.
The license itself is stored in a file named
license.dat and resides in the
subdirectory license of the directory
where you installed ActivVisionTools.
- You can obtain an ActivVisionTools license from your
local ActivVisionTools distributor. The license is bound
to the host ID of the network card of the camera. To extract
the host ID of a network card start the ActivViewer, go to
the info menu and select the license information entry.
