By default the full functionality of the ActivVisionTools can be controlled by predefined user interfaces. Each tool (with a few exceptions) offers this type of default interface. However, for several applications it is necessary to have a customized user interface with only a specific subset of parameters.

Using ActivGUIComponents it is very easy to generate a new graphical user interface for ActivVisionTools. No programming is needed, as everything is done completely interactively - this saves a lot of development and maintenance time. Generating user interfaces just needs two simple steps: First, select the desired component, such as a slider, and place it on the form. Then go to the property page and select the tool and its property which should be controlled by the new GUI component. That's all.
