With the help of ActivBarcode, you can read various common bar codes (EAN 13, EAN 8, 2/5 Industrial, 2/5 Interleaved, Code 39, Code 93, Code 128, Codabar, PharmaCode etc.) and output the code together with additional results, e.g., the position of the bar code in the image. The extraction algorithms are extremely robust: A bar code can appear in any position and any orientation. Furthermore, ActivBarcode extracts bar codes even from difficult backgrounds and in case of varying illumination. To speed up the extraction, you can specify regions of interest (ROIs), which do not need to fit the bar code tightly and can also contain more than one bar code.
