ActivAlignment aligns the regions of interest of any other ActivVisionTool automatically (see an example alignment application), without requiring further action on your part. It also offers to transform data of the current image back into the reference image, thus allowing to compare the results more easily.

The result of the alignment itself, i.e., whether the alignment anchor could be located and, if yes, the position and orientation of the anchor relative to the reference image, can be evaluated in ActivDecision by formulating conditions the results have to meet in order to be "okay". Results and evaluations can then be written to a log file using ActivFile, output via the serial interface using ActivSerial, or output to digital I/O boards via ActivDigitalIO.
